    BMW 188mm Medium Case Motorsport 3.15 +shipping available

    ->3.15 is a motorsport 4 clutch LSD, which is quite rare! Have ramps just like the LSDs found in M3s which contribute to different deceleration characteristics vs a regular 2 clutch LSD found on most BMWs of the era. (S40 S25 is stamped on all Motorsport LSDs)

    Both fit e30s directly as a drop in upgrade with no other parts required. All are in great shape and the fluid was clean when drained. Both output flanges are included!

    Shipping is about $80-90 to most states, I will NOT cover shipping. Please, don’t ask..SIGNATURE WILL BE REQUIRED.

    Will post better pictures asap.. (Sorry )

    Prices are picked up..

    3.15 $old

    More info about the Motorsport diff from Thayer Motorsports..

    Z3 Motorsport Diffs

    What is this setup?

    * A non-preloaded, 4-clutch setup with asymmetrical 50 / 65 degree ramps.

    * Found in some early Z3 variants and some Z3Ms.

    * Typically always are a 3.15 or 3.23 ratio. 3.23 ratio is more common.

    How do I identify this differential?

    * The code S40 / S25 is stamped after the serial number on the limited slip carrier inside the differential.

    * These setups ALWAYS have oval openings on the LSD unit, but having an oval opening is only part of identifying the unit (e.g. there are standard setups with oval openings).

    * The ramp nearest the ring gear will have a machined groove around the diameter (see: https://www.bimmerdiffs.com/collecti...pressure-ramps).

    * The ramp angles will not form a v-shape like standard 45 / 45 degree ramps rather be a smoother transition (compare: https://www.bimmerdiffs.com/collecti...pressure-ramps to https://www.bimmerdiffs.com/collecti...pressure-ramps).

            The 3.64 Torsen, decent ratio (for the i) and you’ll never have to change any clutches, just fluid like an open diff.

                            S50 making 233whp and would not do donuts! As soon as it unloads one side as you start to whip it around it becomes an open diff and ruins it. I hop in my stock m52 coupe and do donuts all day no issue. Definitely the torsen. It was a 3.64 out of a z3 Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
