e30 M42 rear lift point brackets

These are brackets that I made for my 2002 M42 swap just to make my life easier. A few people have expressed interest in making more and I am happy to do so. I always hated that engines don't come with these from the factory. It's a simple thing that makes life WAY easier.

This lift bracket replaces the stock intake manifold brace and allows lifting of the engine from the front point and this new rear point without needing to remove the intake.
Sometimes you just don't want to open stuff up and you're taking the engine out for other reasons other than top end work.

These are made from 1/4" thick cold rolled steel. (I am open to other materials and thicknesses, but this is what I was most comfortable with.)
These will be bare for you to choose your own finish, I torched and painted mine to prevent rust. $18 picked up, or $28 shipped to your door.

    Front view (Bare metal)

    Back view (Painted black)

    Stock for comparison

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

I highly doubt it, but also have no way of confirming it in that application. Haven't had an e30 in a while.

The bracket lays in the same path as the stock brace and the back of the intake/engine stick out further than the bracket does.

          You've got a PM buddha.

If anyone else is interested, I have the file and specs saved to produce more.

I would like one, I would pay extra if you are willing to finish it exactly how you did yours.

Adding you in, though to be perfectly honest literally all I did was get it hot with a torch, then soaked it in black high temp paint. Two things pretty much all of us car guys have around and takes zero skill.

All in lads, we're in production. I am fitting an extra 2 brackets into the run in case anyone else wants to jump in as well.

I'll update all with tracking once completed and QC'd, Thanks!

Excellent news. I may pull my motor this winter just for fun (and to finally get at my profile gasket leak...).
