I have a 1967 BMW 2000 tilux that I'm restoring. Parts are hard to find, and very expensive when you can find them. I have read of a few instances where people with Neue Klasse cars have replaced very expensive shocks and struts with very inexpensive and readily available shocks and struts from an e30. I believe the strut mounts/bearings will fit as well. Replacement strut bearings for the '67 2000 are almost 200.00 each.
Because some of this is theory/experimentation/engineering, I don't want to spend all the money on the world on these items. If someone has a car they are parting out and would be willing to sell them at a good price I would be interested. If someone has a set that is toast and would be willing to donate or sell for dirt cheap to my project for fitment testing, I would be ok with that too. Once I verify that it's possible, I can buy new pieces.
