Retrofitting A/C - WTB A/C Harness (under hood)

I'm not 100% certain what I'm seeking as it seems there were two configurations for the actual A/C harness on an E30 --one wired into the main harness and one that was separate. Ref this "how to" here: https://www.e30zone.net/e30wiki/inde..._Aircon#Wiring

If I'm interpreting this correctly and given I'm starting with a non-A/C car, I would think I could go either way.
