BBS RC090 | BMW Style 5 | Refinished
Selling a set of refinished BMW style 5's from an e39.
Wheels were separated, and the centers were powder coated in steel gray finish. All bolts were stripped of their original and failing clear coat. They were then sanded and tumbled in walnut media and re-coated with new clear coat. All 136 wheel nuts were also tumbled, Blue-Loctited, and torqued to factory spec.
The wheel lips were in terrible shape to begin with, and some of that still shows through in the polished finish. Pictures of the damage are in the pictures. It's really only noticeable up close. The back of one the wheels is rashed, but it doesn't affect the tire's seal to the wheel, the wheel still holds air as it should. There are no cracks or bends in these wheels. The polished lip is not quite a mirror finish.
The center caps are not perfect either. The color used to paint them is the "same color" as the powder coated finish, and comes from the manufacturer but clearly they don't match 100%. I will be sending the leftover can with the wheels in case the caps or the wheels need touch up down the road.
