Thank you so much for working with me to resolve this situation. I hope in the future you’ll be able to more accurately describe parts you’re selling, especially to overseas buyers.

I tried that and from what I can tell automotive clear coat has been applied to whatever they were coated with. I didn't try to keep stripping away the clear to tell if there's actually powder coat beneath. Regardless of what the coating is they had curb rash and were bent.

PayPal has a link to this thread. They may have been powder coated. I couldn’t tell definitively since they were covered in clear coat, but there was a ring of bare metal around the valve stems. It seems to me a powder coater would want those removed first. Besides that though I agree they weren’t described accurately.

You can tell OP/seller is not a "straight-up" when he tells you the buyer that "he can't send a refund unless [you] close the PayPal claim because they are holding onto [seller's] money." My translation of this is: seller's money is now all locked-up in escrow by PayPal pending resolution of your case, and pissed-off seller doesn't have any extra money on the side to resolve this or doesn't want to resolve this as he was able to unload his unwanted trash on you for a substantial amount of money. Don't ever close the PP case until you are fully satisfied.

Let's review seller's description of wheels:

From your buyer review Andrew, it would appear the above seller statements are clearly fraudulent as a purchased "item not as described". You could tell OP/Seller was shady when he requests "PayPal...as friends & family". The one truth OP/seller said the wheels "[w]ill come with valves already installed" as he was a lazy cheap-ass and just spray painted these wheels with them still installed, instead of getting the $2.50 valve stems removed beforehand. Added, OP/seller says these wheels are "powdercoated" which is usually $100 per wheel, which I'm sure you "thought" you were purchasing, when in-fact they were merely spray painted with the wrong color silver. The most laughable representation is "Wheels have been choosen best ones from around 20 I have had previously".

Have you sent a pic of that $400 receipt for the bent wheel repair to PayPal? I wouldn't ever accept seller's offer of "a lower refund than I requested". And if you did previously accept a lower refund amount, I would send PayPal the email where seller offered you a "5th wheel" as that would substantiate your acceptance of seller's lower offer. But since it seems you're not getting the "5th wheel" as a partial refund, you now want the full $400 to make you whole again. I'd even ask for more of a refund as wheels are not powder coated. Heck, even send PayPal a link to this thread...

If all four Euroweaves purchased bent, what is the fifth so-called "free" Euroweave like?

EDIT: Duplicolor Bright Silver Metallic Chrysler (EBCC0410) or Wurth silver metallic spray paint (892180 S) both match the factory color great!
We haven’t worked out anything yet. I don’t think he’s sending me a 5th. He says he’s in Russia until the middle of the month and that he can’t send a refund unless I close the PayPal claim because they are holding onto the money. I told him he needs to contact PayPal and they’ll issue the refund from the money being held. That’s what it says on their customer support pages.

same guy who bought them from me for 700, now selling them for 1150... after trying to beat me down on the price, then talk shit about me on one of my FS threads. he'll learn quickly how to turn people off from dealing with him.

Not trying to be nosy, but as rarer e30 parts skyrocket in price, we all have a vested interest in keeping the "for sale" forum as fraud free as possible with the most accurate information. Thus, when a sale like this goes down, IMHO its important for our humble community to know who the seller "really is or isn't" for future reference.

I didn't say you were "clueless," you did, although 99.9% of the tuners here would use their small old e30 and take 4 or 5 wheels at a time, not all 20 at once. Didn't think I had to tell you that, however if you didn't name yourself on R3V, I would have called you that myself...

To be fair he may have been too busy stripping S14s from all the wrecked e30 M3s littering up the yards.

99% chance they are 14" and you are full of shit.

They're 30 years old, they're already bent and scratched.
