sorry for the delay, but I have to withdraw from the group buy. The friend who I was getting these for had his STi broken into and had to replace the locks...because he's currently unemployed (construction jobs ran out) he doesn't have enough 'play money' for his E30 right now. Sorry again :x

Yesterday I sent an e-mail or a PM to everyone that hasn't paid yet. I figured I'd give them an extra day, before the public flogging begins. :p

It's a bit of a pain to save a spreadsheet as a pdf, then convert to jpg, then upload to a pic web site. I'll probably maintain the spreadsheet for my own tracking, but will post the list tomorrow.

I just checked with the factory, and many of you still haven't placed orders. :tsk: October 1 is three days away!

We've all been waiting long enough. Since the factory only needs 10 orders for the discount, we won't wait for procrastinators. You're all big boys, so it's time to step up, or let me know if you're out.

If you have any questions, just PM or e-mail me -- I'd be glad to help.

    Thanks,
    Alex

    IMPORTANT UPDATE #3

I spoke with Mike at the factory today. He was out of the country for a week, but should've responded to everyone by now.

We are good to go -- place your orders NOW, by October 1.

PRICE. Our final US price with a 15% discount is below. UK folks -- since you have to pay VAT, please confirm your price and shipping with the factory.
    • Door panels (pair) ---- £ 72.46 ( $123.18 )
    • Rear quarters (pair) -- £ 63.94 ( $108.70 )
    • Fastener kit (10) ------ £ 4.26 ( $7.24) http://tinyurl.com/lfmt62

The payments to the factory should be in GBP £ pounds sterling. If you're paying by PayPal, just select the proper currency -- very easy. For the math-challenged :p, the price for door cards, rear trims, and two fastener kits is £ 144.92.

    HOW TO PLACE ORDERS
. You CANNOT place the order via the factory website, or you won't get the discount price. E-mail the factory with your order details, at sales@performance-trim.com, and indicate that you are part of the Group Buy. This is also their PayPal address, so you can just send them a payment with instructions.

Take a look at the spreadsheet below. I'll need to know who you are, so I can confirm with the factory the status of each order, and to know where to send your package. Please PM or e-mail me at flipper325@sbcglobal.net with the missing information.

In addition to Street or Race, don't forget to specify thickness for both door cards and rear trims, and any cutouts you want.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING. The factory accepts both PayPal and credit cards (no AMEX). I accept PayPal at flipper325@sbcglobal.net, but please pay from a bank account, because PayPal credit card fees are higher.
    • Continental US Bulk Shipment. The cost per order will be $35 (vs. $65 direct from the factory), and I'll ship by FedEx Ground. Please pay the factory for the parts themselves, and pay me the shipping fee, when the bulk shipment is ready for distribution.
If you're paying the factory by PayPal, you'll need to include MY shipping address, not yours:
    Alex Blok
    9355 N. Thrush Ln.
    Milwaukee, WI 53217
    • Direct Shipments. This is for folks in England, Australia, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii. Please confirm your shipping fee directly with the factory, and make one payment to them for both parts and shipping.

DELIVERY DATE. The factory will cut the panels within 10 days. Shipping from the UK and distribution within the US will take about 2 weeks, so you can expect your order 2nd half of October.

I just got a response.....looking at the factory panels, the top part is not a separate piece, so I would think that you would have to cut the leather from the original panel and then get it to attach to the carbon fiber panel...and look good....

    "Chris,

Sorry for the late reply to this email, I've been away on holiday.

The padded cover on the e30 on the website has been added by the customer, I
believe it is part of the original door trim that has been refitted -
because this was a customers modification I'm not aware how this has been
    attached.

Most people use our fitting kits to attach the carbon trims, which have
rubber inserts that sit in the door, allowing you to screw the stainless
steel nuts through the carbon into the rubber inserts. Its a removable
method and pretty neat, but some people do use rivets or adhesive.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards, Mike"

    IMPORTANT!!!

Folks, I know that several of you e-mailed the factory, and haven't gotten an answer. I tried contacting Mike (the owner) myself a number of times this week, but didn't get a response to either my e-mails or voice-mails.

It's a small shop, and I'm willing to make allowances that he could be on vacation, etc., but I'm getting a bit concerned.

Please PM me if you already made your payment. If you haven't, please hold off until I hear back from the factory.

Better be safe than sorry. I'll post an update as soon as everything is settled.

    Alex

    Chris,

I think that's what you'll have to do, if you want the pad shown in the pic -- the factory just makes pre-cut sheets. This is not an issue for a track car, but for a street car, I understand why folks would want to maintain an OE look.

If I kept the black OE door panels from my track car, you are welcome to have them. It was an '85 CA car, so I'm not sure of their condition. In any case, I'll have to find them first. ;)
