Forget it, I figured it out. You do need to cut off those tabs with a cutoff tool.

How about those metal posts that originally made the inner liner piece bend up when you pitched the sunroof up? That won't work here with the new moonroof liner. It interferes it's sliding operation.

I got mine from the junkyard (the whole thing, frame, glass, lid etc). IIRC, i didn't cut anything but, i swap two pieces from the metal frame to the new frame. Post pics from a metal lid frame and I'll check my car.

    Back from the dead.

What exactly is being cut off? I think it might be the 2 posts that were originally intended to bend the inner sunroof liner when you pitch the sunroof up.

I can't figure out what to do with these 2 metal posts, but I have a feeling I must cut them off with a cutoff tool.

Pdf + printer = own copy.

Even better would be a thread in E30 FAQ and DIY with a write up with pics and links to the documentation.

well anyway... I could senda copy to mr. graves to host on r3v...well if he agrees to build me a custom cluster when I get my standalone hooked up. Just figured people would want their own copy. I know I would. particularly considering the crap load of pm's and emails I got about the thing.

It would still be cool to have a copy of the original documentation, no matter how hard or easy the install is.

Send it to me - I'd me more than happy to scan it, send it back, and then host it here on the R3v servers.

Yes, I agree. It would be super messed up not to just get it scanned and share.
I'm sure we could scrape some $$ together as a one time fee... like $10?
