They're nice if you want to spend the scratch on um. If you're not over powered, revving your car like crazy all the time, or just using your car as a DD then you probably don't need them. Most of the time they break b/c they've never been changed and they're over 20 years old. OEM should be fine if you fit into any of those categories. I run a conforti chip and pegged off the revlimiter at 6900rpm and broke one, fixed it and broke another one a couple weeks later. I replaced them all with oem and it was fine. I ended up buying a head from the guys in the link above, rocking a polished set of OEM rockers now.

^ Thx for the reply.
Yeah I also have a chip and have reached the limiter a couple of times on track days. I guess it was dumb from me to rev it so much on the street, although the sound of a M20 reved it's kind of nice. :D
And also I am worried that if one broke the others could go very soon, as you pointed out and most likely they are reaching their end of service life, on my case 25 years.
If you're not over powered

This has been covered MANY times in the past, complete with X-rays. You'll find plenty of reviews if you search.
Been running on IE HD's on all the shop race engines with good success. Hits 7.5k on a regular basis.

Keep in mind that Febi made their design II rockers which I've also thrown in the photo's as well (they are the middle rocker).
A good %80-%90 of the OEM failures have been on the eccentric arms, specifically on the underside, looking here you can see why.
There were initially some comments about flashing along the rocker pads, that issue has since been dealt with.
