Hmmm okay.
"Rear Shock Tower Braces:
I was a naysayer on rear shock braces until late 1997, my thinking was that the shocks would not transmit the kind of forces that the brace seemed to be designed to mitigate
I had to concede..." http://www.evolutionzen.com/chassis-compliance.html
As to front braces you can also see Gustave Stroes.
I've been told some of his math was off but the theory is pretty much right on (even if not "complete" it's what we knew at the time he wrote it).
Hope this doesn't get me in trouble.

Be aware that this brace will add nothing if you already have a full cage
Those don't apply to you?
Ask yourself these.

I think they can do it just fine although I have seen self proclaimed SIMI VALLEY BMW master mechanics that were unable to operate an umbrella without permanent damage

Originally posted by Eric View Postno, mason has been making them all along, back when they were SBI bars for $125, then IE bars, then EBAY bars, then Zen bars. Zen added the trunk floor part and the lower x brace and CA brace. Mason makes all of them though
To reiterate and clarify:
John Mason is a fabricator, makes all kinds of stuff for many of your favorite tuners etc and is one of the absolute very best at what he does.
Zen or Evolution Zen, AKA Entwicklung Zen, AKA BMW Zen Performance, AKA Zen Racing is a BMW Chassis Builder and R&D Company that designs and tests stuff with Mason among others.
Neither John Mason (Mason Engineering) nor Daniel Colegrove (Evolution Zen) are really people people and are best left out in the shop away from the general public.
As to the install I'm sure that someone will eventually chime in somewhere.
