i did splice the wiring on my HID, but basically the power and ground into the ballast has a red and black wire with male connectors on there, so i just put 2 females on the chassis side and i have been good for 2yrs on my setup.
not really a limited time offer at this point.
in the pic of my e30, i am running 6000K 35W in the low beams, and 3000K 35w in the fogs.
i can sell you just the 55w ballasts, but the price wouldnt be much less than the whole kit.

ok let me ask you guys if you know the answer to this question, are the h1 connectors on the euro ellips proprietary to BMW, and even more so, are they just for e30's? or do all H1 cars use the same connector?

I did a little more thinking about this and then went out to the garage to look at the HID install i did like 10 years ago. H1 lights just use a spade connector the slides over the end of the bulb and they are grounded via the base. So to install these in the Hella ellipse you just need to slip the male end of the + on the HID kit onto the female that used to connect to the H1. Then clip the ground wire connecting the light housing to the cap, crimp on a spade to the cap side and connect it to the - of the HID kit. So as long as the bulbs are molded for H1 base and the arc is located where the H1 filiment should be this whole H1 connector thing is crazy. so yes... its as plug and play as you can get in euro ellips
there cant be a plug'n'play kit for these...e30's have a different plug than most cars, so i would have to order like 1000units to get them to make me a plug with the kit. its really a no-brainer for the install though. i mean, you need to connect 1+ and 1- on each side....
yes i can get just the bulbs, however the pricing isnt fantastic, looking at $80 for a pair.
Also, the 55W kits DO USE different bulbs than the 35W kit.
let me snap some quick pics with the phone rite now and post them.
Whats the slim one? Could I see pictures? If I were to order a kit with the H1 bulb, would it come with just no connectors on the ballast for where they plug into for the engine side harness? If I buy 2 kits, is there a discount on shipping?
I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.
hey golde30 , if sixsixii and I purchase some HIDs would you ship them together?
I may get 2 kits, one 35w slim 3000K, one 55w slim 6000K
price on that and probably one other kit for sixsixii to his postal code

the slim ballast is pictured above. its basically just a smaller ballast for those who care. the H1 kit just has spade connectors to connect to the origional headlight wiring. no discount on shipping, it doesnt get cheaper for me if i send more kits.
as for shipping to canada, yes i can combine the kits together as long as both of you specify that is what you want. i need to get in touch with USPS and see what they can do, but 3 kits would be a pretty good size box...
