Classified Forums - Read this first!

Here are a few simple guidelines for this forum. Failure to follow any of these rules will be grounds for your thread to be closed.

Post your information
Post as much info as you can. Say where you are located, where the part is located, the best way to get in contact with you, if you are willing to ship, etc.

Post the item's information
Post as much info as you can. A price must be posted, as well as pictures of the item(s). Post as many pictures as you can, even if it is a common item. A picture tells a thousand words, but it can also conceal another thousand. Links to hosted galleries of images are acceptable, links to eBay and/or Craigslist are not. Once the item sells, please do not edit your ad to remove the price. Many people search through old ads to get an idea what their item may be worth.

If listing a car, post:
-The year and model
-An accurate mileage. If the odometer is broken, post what it reads currently and how many miles you believe it has
-Any aftermarket modifications
-Any known issues or damaged areas
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every area

If listing wheels and/or tires, post:
-The brand and model
-As many specs as you can, including but not limited to tire size, tread remaining, wheel diameter, width, offset, bolt pattern and centerbore, if multi-piece the lip, barrel and center size. If they have been redrilled post the original bolt pattern and where it was done.
-Any imperfections, including but not limited to curb rash, bends, cracks, repaired areas, scratches. For tires, note any gashes, bubbles, cupping or curb rash
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every wheel

If listing parts, post:
-What brand and what models it can be used on
-An accurate description
-How long it/they have been used for
-Any imperfections
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every area

For miscellaneous items, post:
-A detailed description of the item
-How long it/they were used for
-Any imperfections
-A price
-As many pictures as possible of every area

For WTB threads
-Be as detailed as possible.
-List exactly what you want, what variations you will accept, colors or materials, etc.
-Post what you won't accept. This includes imperfections, colors, models, etc.
-Post a price range of what you are willing to pay (typically based on condition).
-Post where you are located and if you would prefer local pickup.

In case the point was not made, everything being sold on this forum must include a price and as many pictures as possible.
-This is not eBay or Craigslist (or any other buy/sell/trade site). Do not post links to those for your ad. The same goes for linking to ads on other forums... either post your information here or have your thread closed.
-Feeler threads are not allowed. If you're not sure about selling it, don't post it.
-Cross-posting within the R3VLimited forum is not allowed. Choose a single subforum for your ad.
-If listing your item for trade, post what you are looking for, what you feel your item is worth, if you would like cash back or if you have cash to put on top.
-Thread crapping is not allowed. If you're not interested in purchasing the item for sale or have nothing positive to add, stay out of the thread or be prepared for a time out. If you complain about the time out, it will be extended.
-Threads can be bumped a maximum of once per day (24h). You are allowed to respond to others more than once a day.
-If listing multiple items, post them in one thread. Exceptions are cars and wheels.

Got mine in the mail. They look great and seem to be made of high quality! Haven't installed them yet. Should be able to test out tomorrow.

May have already answered this, but, do you have some that will fit the fogs too?

Yep, we have H3 bulbs from the same manufacturer in the R4A model. I think I have 2 sets on hand but need to confirm the color temperatures though. I'm glad your are pleased with the build quality and sure you will be equally impressed with their performance!

Finally got mine on. But I think I need to adjust my height, cause I can't really see far. Seems to be pointing towards more to the ground. But the color is perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. May get some for the highs and fogs next!

Got mine in the mail with the intentions of installing them in my ZKW headlights on my E36. Unfortunately, I was not able to get them to fit properly in the ZKW housing and still retain the ability to adjust the beams and use the leveling motors. Just to clarify, this is a result of the ZKW headlight design and not the bulbs!

I ended up buying a cheap set of E36 fogs and installed them in there with a bit of modification and they work great! Definitely brighter than the original halogen bulbs and they run much cooler than HID's so they're perfect for smaller light housings if you're worried about heat.

Install process (this is for an E36 fog light but the same process can be used for most housings):

Fog, bulb, and one of the supplied grommets for sealing out water:

Remove the back cap and snip the wire leads:

Cut the plug out of the back of the cap, try and trim as close to the plug as possible. My housings were pretty cheap so the plastic was a bit soft and I was able to cut it with a box cutter and a fresh blade:

Using your box cutter or a craft knife or something, trim the hole to a 7/8" circle to fit the grommet:

If you are able to keep the little box on the wire in your light housing you can skip this step, but I did not have room so I cut the wire between the box and the bulb:

I also took the grommet and cut a slot slightly smaller than the wire so that I can pass it through the grommet with the heat sinks:

Thread the heatsinks through the grommet along with the wire:

On the other end of the harness, I snipped the wire terminals and connected the plug I removed from the fog light cap, this makes the bulbs plug and play with my car's harness:

Solder everything back together and heatshrink to seal out the elements (I also covered the open terminals on the plug in the picture, don't worry):

On the housings, the openings for the H1 bulbs weren't quite wide enough to clear the slightly wider LED bulbs so I trimmed the housings to fit.
                        Before:

                        After:

Install the grommet in the fog light cap (with the bulb and everything assembled) and then secure the bulb in the housing:

Slide the grommet and cap down the heatsinks towards the housing and secure them together. you're left with a sealed LED fog light:

Once both sides are done, pop them into the car and admire the results!

Definitely happy with them, thanks Bryon!

                          Joe,

Awesome write-up and definitely beyond what I expected. I really appreciate you taking the time to document your installation so thoroughly. Top Notch work and the final result looks amazing! Sorry they didn't work out in the ZKWs, maybe the next generation bulb will fit and allow full functionality😉. Thanks again!

                          R3V,

The E30 Euro Smilies use a similar cap so if you want to completely seal them and have a super clean look, I think you can apply just about everything in Joe's write-up.

                          Thanks Bryon
