Anyone have thoughts on flat vs concave for fitment/appearance/rubbing on fenders/tire availability?

Also, does going from 16 to 17 make a noticeable difference in ride quality for street use?

Selection in 16" tires is pretty slim these days.

17" wheel are a great fit for the E30 and there are many tire options out there. Both the flat face and concave options look fantastic. I have listed both fitments below:

      Option 1:
      Front & Rear: 17x8” ET25 (Profile 1) - 215/40-17 or 235/40-17

*This fitment is a direct bolt-on with 215/40-17 tires and is for customers looking for a “ready to go” fitment. Customer wanting to run a more aggressive tire can go with a 235/40-17, but negative camber will be required up front and a fender roll in the rear to fit properly.

      Option 2:
      Front & Rear: 17x8.5” ET20 (Profile 3) - 215/40-17 or 235/40-17

*This fitment is an aggressive concave fitment, and will require a 5mm spacer up front in order to clear OEM brakes (and most aftermarket BBK’). In addition, quite a bit of negative camber will be required front and rear in order to avoid hitting your fenders. A 215/40-17 tire is recommended for an easier, fit. However, a 235/40-17 tire can also be used, but fender flares are recommended. This fitment is very aggressive and not recommended for customers wanting a direct fit.

        Great news!

We’ve already reached the max discount of $200 off plus free shipping*

Based on pledges we’ve received so far we’re only starting production on the 17x8” ET25 wheel for now. Demand is not high enough yet for us to approve the 17x8.5” ET20 wheel, but it’s still early and there’s a lot of time left to make both happen. With how many of you showed interest in that size, we believe it can definitely happen. We’ll update the group as we progress towards developing both.

If you’re interested in the concave wheel you should pledge now if you haven’t already to help it get across the finish line. If we can reach the minimum production threshold before the deal ends then we can start production earlier and deliver it earlier.

If you’re interested in the flatter wheel but you haven’t pledged yet, you’ll want to do so ASAP. Units will be limited since production is already underway. We’ll be shipping in the order pledges are submitted, and availability of finish preferences get prioritized in the same order.

Pledge now, save big, and let's bring back our 4x100 wheels!

No concrete plans just yet for our standard 18" Group Buy's, but it may be something we consider in the future.

We want to thank everyone who pledged and made this deal a success. We are thrilled to support the E30 community and appreciate all of your support.

Reminder, this Group Buy ends tonight at midnight (PST). This is your last chance to get $200 off + free-shipping*. Once these wheels are sold out, they will not be available until we do another Group Buy in a year or two.

If you’ve only shown interest and wish to be a part of this deal, you need to come back and submit your pledge. Showing interest alone is not enough.
