edit : poly is a matter of preference. there is more nvh transfer with poly. a lot will depend on the durometer you chose and other things.

I've seen people say E46 M3 engine mounts upside down. Don't know anyone running this combo, but might give it a shot at some point.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30

Well thanks for that, good to know before I bought them and found out the hard way lol.
Running some older generation Condor UHMW mounts atm.
I'm thinking about switching to something softer for NVH and because I have some small knock adaptations in low throttle spots in my timing table that could be real or false, but won't go away with timing changes, and at this point it's just easiest to just chase the idea of false knock.
I also have some current-gen Revshift mounts. They look really nice, but it looks like they shift the engine over a bit, and my existing downpipe won't clear if the engine shifts further to the right.
Supposedly they 3d scanned the bay/engine and these mounts put the engine where it matches the M20 placement.
AKG are (or I guess were?) back in stock, I'd consider buying them also because I'd rather spend the money than re-do my downpipe.Last edited by Northern; 09-27-2024, 06:44 AM.Originally posted by priapismMy girl don't know shit, but she bakes a mean cupcake.Originally posted by shamesonUsually it's best not to know how much money you have into your e30

I have a set of new cylindrical rubber e28 mounts if you would like them.
I currently runt he 70a AKG poly mounts and am overall happy. They have a little nvh over the m20 with stock mounts, but are not bad overall. I had the revshift 80a mounts and they were a little noisy and could feel a good bit of vibrations at idle and low rpm.
One thing I did notice is the revshift mounts made the engine sit higher (maybe 1/4-3/8") and it was rotated a little more towards the booster. With the AKG mounts I do not have any issues with the booster (e90 booster), but the exhaust is basically on the subframe.
