A dual mass would not work, it would just get ruined or be constantly slipping, unless I got one made for the power curves, and that would just be expensive. IS the s50 clutch pp and flywheel much larger or better than an m20 setup? The price on the two is plenty different. ANd have any of you guys used ebay clutch systems? I usually would stay away from those but I know that a few people on here run them. If I use the s50 clutch setup I cannot use the m20 starter correct? -
Which company has a high clutch failure rate? I know the guys on bimmerforums FI were all moving from one of these companies to the other due to the large number of failures, but I'm not sure which one.Last edited by AnimalE30; 12-01-2011, 08:27 PM.Leave a comment:

Hes talking about the clutch kit haha
$600 is do-able for a clutch disk/PP combo that can hold the power and be streetable. I'd stick with a stock dual mass flywheel and get an unsprung disk.Leave a comment:

I got a 4 puck sprung clutch made for $280 and a sachs 618pp for $300 I think.Leave a comment:

That is a hell of a budget for such a high powered car. I hope you are good at fabrication, that's all I can say.
Good luck!Leave a comment:

I would like to try to spend around 600 or less lol. Don't know if that is possible. I am not boosted yet, so that is a thing.Leave a comment:

Make sure you go with the 240mm disc from the e36M3, you will also need a 240mm flywheel.Leave a comment:

I'd give Clutchnet and Southbend a call. Both can make you a single disk (full face) clutch kit that will hold the power and be very streetable.Leave a comment:

Clutch/PP/Fly for 500whp?
I am working on my swap and need a clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel for my m50tu. I would like to have it streetable but be able to hold the 500hp down. Any thoughts? Going with a gt260Tags: None
