    Payed $280 for complete m52 engine is still on my engine stand. I am $1100 into the build with parts. Expecting to pay another 500 ish before I drop it in.

    $800 for a complete 1992 525i took all the parts i needed
    sold the rolling chassis for $500 and my eta for $300 and i got a "free" m50nv with all wiring a/c and everything

    I paid $300 for: m50, dme, harness, all accessories, motor mount arms, but no tranny. Found it in Portland craigslist.

    I think he just wants initial cost of the motor. I put easily another $1k-1500 into it and the swap after the initial purchase.

    Oh yeah, mine had the full harness and an adapter too, but we didn't use the adapter, my brother in law hard-wired the X20 directly into my harness.

    Paid $200 for the m50 (block+head) with the wiring harness and power steering pump.. the rest I had to source

    NV E34 M50 (w/ oil pan and dipstick)
    E36 motor mount arms
    ECU
