    2.93LSD in m50 swap

    Debating on grabbing a 2.93LSD for My m50 swap, running the gt260, m50b25tu, and cams soon. I would like to boost in the future. Would.the diff kill the NA motor?

    I think the 2.93 is too tall behind an M50/G260. I'm running a 3.25 with a 3 litre and it's as tall as I'd ever want to get.

    You want the 3.73, 3.25 would be fine with boost.

        I run a 2.79 LSD. Still can get some decent wheel spin shifting into 2nd with good tires. Mine is a highway monster and it's pretty babied. A bit hard to get it sideways when you want to though.

          I have a 2.93 behind a m50/gretrag 250 and its not bad at all. A 3.25 would be better.

            Pay closer attention. A 2.93 behind a G250 is roughly equivalent to a 3.64 behind a G260 in 5th. (Other gears vary.)

                It is the worst thing ever.
                You will shift 12 times to get up to 60mph, then once you reach 61mph you are on the rev limiter.

                      Kind of? I got tired of it in the first day.

                      What is 1st gear "crawling" traffic on any regular gearing, you're shifting between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with a 4.10. Gets annoying QUICK. I can stayon 1st gear with my 2.79 in traffic with no problem and no annoyance.

                        Any videos of the 2.93? I have a 4.10 in it now, and driving my 318 with a 4.10 makes it obvious that a 4.10 with an m50 would be horrible.

                          I run a 3.73 with my non vanos feeding a G260. I spin at 3500 @ 85mph in top gear. Did a road trip over spring break. ~700 miles got about 26mpg. Spent most of the highway time over 80...

                          I love it.

                            I hate my 4.10. its only saving grace is that its a LSD. Also running a g240 so it's extra miserable. Probably a good auto x and drag setup but that's about it. Need to find a 2.93 LSD bad.

                              That's weird. It took me 9 shifts in my friends car.
                              Maybe your speedometer is off.
