Long story short I'm shoving S52 cams and vanos onto my previously non vanos head. I haz a few questions. First, I know I need to swap the trays with the cams. The lifters are physically smaller than the non vanos ones. Does this mean I have to swap the valve springs and retainers out with the S52 counter parts? Will the non vanos dual valve springs work with the S52 lifters/cam trays?
Is there anything else I'm missing here? I have an S52 oil housing so the vanos feed should be simple enough.
