hitting dead spots, no tach, high idle

So i've been having this problem for a while and have been trying everything i can to figure it out. i have had my s50 swap for nine or so months running fine and fully functional. then my tach dies, then i start hitting dead spots when cruising and occasionally upon start up having spurts of high idle. i eventually break down and buy a scanner, i have a camsensor code and knock sensor code. i replace the cam sensor and every thing works for a bout a day, before its back to its usual. cams sensor code is still on, then i replace it with a new oem bmw sensor and same thing.

so i also replace the crank sensor b/c some one told me that can also set the cam sensor code. ( i called bs but i tryied it any how), now the car seems to have a high idle all the time. still no tach, still have cam sensor code.

i figure that i should put the old crank sensor back in and get another camsensor even though i'm on a third and bmw wont warranty the new
    one.

does any one else have any ideas, i doubt that the knock sensor was the cause of any of this so i have yet to fix it( thinking of the bigger picture).

Car is any 84 e30 with obd1 S50 from a 95 M3. 134,000 miles and ran flawlessly before all this bs.
