just picked up my first e36 (92\93 325) and noticed a couple things that popped up a few days after owning the car.
1: at idle the car revs up and down from 600-1.2k consistantly. would this just be eithor a sticking iac or the maf?
2: the car has been 'eating' gas like no other. 5.1 gallons got me 70 miles with cruise control set and driving lightly. there is no black smoke out the tail pipe but sometimes i smell a gas smell or rotten eggs. i assume it has the pump under the back seat like the e30s? also, when the car starts up there is no cel maybe the p/o removed the bulb. is there a way to flash e36 codes?
sorry i am very new to this engine and body style but figured a lot of you guys have good experience with m50s and such. Thanks
