Um, the S52 in the M Coupe / Roadster is a cast iron block. ONLY the 1997-1998 Z3 2.8 had an aluminum block with ferrous sleeves.Leave a comment:

s52= more displacement, greater torque, gains 20hp with obd1 conversion making it 260hp vs 240 like the s50, newer motor so easier to find one with less mileage, better exhaust manifolds...and o ya if u r really lucky u can get an s52 from an m coupe/roadster which has the aluminum head and is over 50 lbs lighter, making it almost the same weight as an m20...s52 all the way baby!!! :bow:Leave a comment:

Maybe! I was expecting either you or Dad (Jason89i) would jump in.
P.S. Jason89i isn't my father, but he reminds me of my father when he chides people for relying upon wiring diagrams found on the Internets.Leave a comment:

Either way you'll need a chip tuned for that combo.
I have them better and cheaper than anyone else. Seriously.

Wait, is that me?

Yes.
OBD-I HFM and many people run stock S52 21.5 lb/hr injectors (pink top). You can run 24 lb/hr blue top injectors with a 3.5" 540 HFM.
Yes.
Repent. For the Search Nazi will visit you tonight. Kind of like the Tooth Fairy, except he'll punch your teeth out then leave 25 cents a tooth.Leave a comment:

S52 are alot more common so....due the math. S50 was a limited amount of time so honestly S52 would be the wise choice. Newer and less mileage.Leave a comment:

The S50US is more fun for <10/95 engines. You never know when a valve will drop, when a keeper pulls through the spring top plate. :mrgreen:Leave a comment:
