S52 swap, OBDI converted tuned for 3.5" euro 540i MAF.
I am almost certain that I have a bad maf, but I am also wondering if the sensor is the wrong one instead of actually being bad. On the barrel part of the MAF it has the part number for a euro 540i. Is it possible that the sensor itself was replaced with a different one?
I found a new MAF on ebay...not sure if it really is a euro one...and the low price makes me a little blah about it....Also, do I have to replace the whole thing? can't I just unscrew the sensor itself and pop a new one in there? I have been seeing the sensors by themselves on ebay too...no euro ones though....
I haven't looked much into it yet, thought I would get some opinions the internet first.
Oh and for everyone that might be wondering I finally got my swap up and running a few months back, turned out it was EWSII and i got a racers market chip to get rid of it. woot.
