It's been a while since I had an e30 or used this forum, so I'm sorry if this is wrong spot to post, if I need to move it I can no problem.
A couple weeks ago I picked up a 1987 325e that's m52b28 swapped, I'm 95% sure it has a Getrag 250 with a stage 3 clutch (can't remember who makes it).
When I first got it, the biting point on the clutch pedal was VERY high, the pedal was very "springy," and the tach did not work... until last night. I have no idea what happened but I started the car up on my break at work and the tach magically started working, the clutch pedal actually felt really good - the pedal was noticeably lower (I would say about even with the brake pedal with some slack), there was hardly any annoying "spring" and it was biting way lower than before. Since the pedal was lower and I'm a genius, I tried to pull the pedal up with my foot to see what would happen, and I was able to pull the pedal back up to where it was before very easily. The tach instantly stopped working and the pedal is even worse than it was before now, it bites even higher, the "spring" is stupid strong, and the pedal sits about an inch higher than the brake pedal.
I have no idea how the tach could even be related to this or what witchcraft I can do to make the pedal go back to how it was last night, since nothing seems adjustable down there, and there aren't any helper springs, just the hydraulic pump. I don't know if the little push rod on the hydro is adjustable, I'll probably check it out later, but since it worked last night and there's the tach issue I'm even more confused as to what's going on.
Any ideas or help would be amazing, thanks!
