Experiencing some issues after S54 swap, I suspect it to be clutch related maybe you guys and gals can assist.
So we're using a 94M3 5-Speed with a 3.2 Euro Dual Mass Flywheel and a E36 Clutch from CM; fx400 6-puck pressure plate and rigid disc.
When starting the car it makes an awfully screeching metal to metal noise that resonates throughout the entire motor. We pulled the belt off, cranked it over, still makes noise. We then pulled the head cover, inspected the cams, checked tolerances, plenty of oil circulating and motor rotates nicely without noise. We then cranked it over and the noise was back. It has a brand new throwout bearing.
Is the clutch setup the issue? Flywheel possibly gone? Disk incorrectly positioned
