I bought a front plastic bumper to facelift my early model. I need to paint the bumper cover and am trying to remove the support beam but am having trouble doing this. I've pushed in the seven? plastic push-pin rivets but cannot separate the support from the cover. Am I missing something else? Thanks.
EDIT: Found my answer. There's a plastic rivet under each of the bumper shock brackets that needed to be removed. This makes it necessary to pull off the bumper trim (and possibly break a few clips) to separate the bumper cover and support beam.
