Using brand new rubber and a brand new lock strip? That's quite impressive! The professional glass installer I used took well over an hour for each, and gouged my freshly painted trunk in the process (documented in Klaus' build thread).

But my point wasn't the time but why cut corners after going through the trouble of doing a good job.

True, but (re)installing them is not nearly as simple.

i pushed it into the seals the best I could and then cut them with an exacto knife right on the edge of the seal. Its about the best you can do. If you are really good you can cut the vinyl just up on the seal and then tuck it after you cut it.

Did you tuck any of the vinyl under the edges of the window seals, or just butt up against them really closely?

Yeah all the glass stayed in. With a wrap there isn't a need to take it out. It could help I guess by having the edge of the vinyl under the seals but then when its time to strip it you would have to pull all the glass out again. I plan on sticking with this color for a while and then changing it up a few years down the road.

It looks like all the glass has stayed in the car throughout the entire process. Is that the case?

A few from tonight. All I got done was the drivers fender and installing the bumper.

I have read about the sample rolls, though my pricing estimate was indeed based on what I found on a retail site. I appreciate the info, thanks!

The seams are pretty hard to see from more than five feet away.
