Hey Everyone. I'm new around here. First post. I have been searching all over the site for a guide but nothing is popping out.
I purchased a 89 325i 4 door recently. It was in a small accident which damaged the driver side fender, hood and of course the front bumper. The plastic cover is actually minimally damaged. The bumper carrier or reinforcement (whatever the proper name is) underneath needs to be replaced. Its whitish in color and seems similar to a fiberglass of some sort. I houses the turn signal lamps. it is cracked in the middle.
There are 6 screws that appear to be holding the carrier in place. Those suckers are on there tight. I have damaged two torx bits there were brand new due to torsional strain while trying to remove them. Somehow the bolt head has not striped... yet. I am using T45 size. This may seem elementary but I am just wondering if these are infact the correct bolts and if there is some secret to getting them off.
