    Convertible Weather stripping/window guide

I want to redo all the rubber on my convertible. I want to do the driver side first. Where would you get these parts? I usually use pelican but they no longer carry them.

Is it the same as a coupe? I would assume so...
    Is it pretty straight forward?

    Thank You!

Check out realoem - this is the page for my 89 vert:

    http://realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.do?mo...id=47326&hg=51

I don't know if it's the same as a 2-door, but there are some differences in other areas I think so it's worth checking your prod date and entering into the realoem front page.

I've bought trim and seals from ecstuning, reasonable prices and good fitment, sometimes shipping takes a while but I don't mind that so much.

Im not sure just which parts you want to swap but the side window/door rubber trim is unique to the Cabrio. If you think about it..no door frame, glass over laps etc etc

Keep in mind that the body rubber for the rear side windows are labeled "door trim" in realoem so its decieving. Go by the PN in the pic and not the description.

Reviving this old thread with hope that someone can tell me the part numbers for these pieces. I’ve searched RealOEM, the net and, the usual e30 forums without success.

The pieces are the rubber/felt weather strips that vertically separate and seal the front and rear convertible windows. Photo below. Mine are falling apart and I would like to replace if possible.

          Update - found it!

          They are:

          and

          https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/par...&q=51361922167

Not very clear on the diagram... hope this helps others in the future.

At $92 each, did you buy them? I've seen people cut the rubber from a bicycle inner tube and glue it to the frame. Not the approved method. :)

Over $100 now - contemplating substitutes. For that money I could do a lot of great things for the car instead of just replacing some crappy broken trim.

Bike inner tube is a good idea! Thanks for sharing.

Does anyone else have ideas on this? Any used ones out there for sale?

Yeah, the longer you wait the more this stuff goes up. I just did these beginning of the summer and I think they were like $65 each.

I have one that I bought when they were $50 and ended up finding a while new window at a junk yard. Those are epoxied on there and super difficult to remove/install. The one I have is for the drivers side, any interest? I dont need it.

Thank you PDXPeter. I’ll take another look at the driver's side and let you know.
