I saw an older gti matte white with dark red metallic wheels. Looked pretty cool!

I clearly knew this idea would not sit well with the vast majority of the r3v population, but was hoping on the off chance that someone may chime in on their experience with it, or at the very least laugh at the number of hotdog responses, and move along.
For those who are hating on the idea, fair enough, I totally see where you are coming from. My reasoning for going the plasti dip route right now is as follows:
1. Paint is rough in a number of spots, already looks like poo
2. I have another e30 which I have put the majority of my time and $. I am limiting my expenditures on this car for the time being
3. I figure at the very least I can treat the bad spots, then the dip may provide some protection from the elements until I have the funds for a proper paint job.
4. The car is currently bronzit, and while I do enjoy a nice glass of prune juice I can't get on the bronzit train.
5. The car will eventually get the paint it deserves, not the paint it needs
6. Hotdog.
Is it the best option? Probably not, but it ticks a lot of the boxes and is reversible.

i love plasti dip for some stuff, but it's not good for a whole car. if you insist on it do a color thats the same or close to your door jambs/engine bay so you don't look completely ghetto fabulous

While I'm not entirely opposed to plasti-dip, I would love to see something besides flat black or military green.
Ya know what, I just did a GIS for plastidipped cars, and I don't think any of them look good. Turns out I AM entirely opposed to plasti-dip.
Vinyl wrap it or do a quick and dirty respray, but please don't cover up paint that could be saved with elbow grease.
