Was hoping to get some opinions on tackling this floor pan rust.
It has gone through the double wall that the tunnel panel underneath forms.
The biggest issue is the channel that the trans mount bolts to. I need to replace at least some of it it seems. I can try to get a better picture of how that all looks.
( I have no idea what the stuff in the middle is. It almost looks like a shale, I think this car was used offroad quite a bit unfortunately)
For the inside footwell I'm just going to do the normal cut out out and replace. I've already started that here. Then just need to get the tunnel side. I haven't done more since the transmission is only held up by the one mount on the same side. So need to get the trans out first. But wanted to see if anyone has done this double skin repair before. Thanks!
