I'm running 88->front bumper skin and early euro bumper brackets, no rebar. I had to drill 2 holes to skin to mount it to brackets.

Got it, I have the valance and plastic bumper shocks. These two statements go against each other

The front bumper is a skin then metal support and the shocks bolt to that.

The plastic piece has 2 parts. The skin, what you see, and a support of plastic inside, what you cant see.

on the plastic bumper there is two bumper shocks and two sliders than just align the sides.

the sliders are attached to the valence and the fender.

The bumper shocks are similar between the aluminum bumpers and the plastics although the plastic's shocks are smaller in size.

If you mean the bumper support then yes, the front and back.

    Plastic front bumper question

Just wanted to confirm something so I thought I would ask you guys.

Do the 88+ cars with plastic bumpers have a "bumper carrier" behind the bumper and infront of the valance or do they just have the bumper , shocks and just the valance ?
Working...
