The real parts aren't ABS Mel ;) Its mostly Polyurethane Glass Fiber.

and you are right about pro body shop fitting, but most of the kiddies here don't have the money to pay a bodyshop to properly fit a kit.. they just slap it on themselves. If its not idiot proof the idiots will complain.

I wasn't asking you to conduct a survey - I just wanted some real facts rather than generalisations that our M Tech 2 kit is inferior to Brand X's kit because I have not had one customer complain to me personally after selling dozens of these kits over the years.
If I had received a complaint, I would have solved it to the customer's satisfaction.

Sure, any Fibreglass knock off is inferior to the real thing but not everybody wants to spend the kind of money the OEM ABS parts cost - besides, some OEM parts are becoming harder to find.
FWIW, the Fibreglass body of the new Corvette is not too shabby.

This is not a "do it yourself" conversion and any good body shop can make it fit 100%. We always recommend customers have a body shop do the work for a proper fit and more professional look.

When it comes down to it.. its a fiberglass knockoff, and its inferior to the real thing. I think most people that feel something is left to be desired understand that... but it doesn't change the fact.

I want to change over to the M Tech II and get the black trim stuff off my car. I prefer OEM but can't seem to find enough laying around. To that end I am just going to go IS skirts and paint the black plastic bumper and moulding trim. I will post a pic later.

    Thanks.

Most of the complains I've heard were related to fitment related issues stemming from lack of mounting provisions. Like I said previously... this is just the norm for fiberglass items.

Well for those of us who can't find enuff OEM M Tech stuff, what have you heard negative about AMS stuff? My experience has been 100% with his products.

I don't think he was asking for a survey but rather, feedback based on the feedback you have. Like any good business operator, he works on taking care of his customers.

Before I buy anything aftermarket and non-OEM I look here first. Lotta good help here. So please share with us the bad you have heard. No body wants fiberglass over ABS but sometimes it happens.

The front bumper is not a cover-it replaces the plastic bumper.
    Pic:

The rear valance covers the existing bumper.
So you still utilize the rebar and shocks.

The parts that Eurostyle in Canada sells are not made by the same company as ours.
I have no idea where they are made.

Mel , could you elaborate on how your ft. bumper cover and the rear bumper cover/valace mounts ?
Does it still utilize the OE rebar and bumper shocks or is it meant to simply cover over the OE bumper covers ?
Maybe some pics of the inside/backside of those pieces will help .

Eurostyle pieces are made by Fil himself .

If I decide to go with non OEM aftermarket M Tech II, the only place I will consider is Abrahams Motorsport. Everything I have put on mycar from Mel has been high quality.

    Auburn vs USF. War Eagle!

I am sure they are well made but please get your facts together before making a statement about ours on the messageboard - especially the generalisation -
"the overwhelming majority seems to feel a lot is left to be desired."
Show me the facts please - who are the majority?.

I do know you can get the same parts from Eurostyle in Canada, shipped to the US, for less then the before shipping price from AMS. I've dealt with Eurostyles stuff plenty and I've come to really appreciate and trust the quality fiberglass items he provides.

That front valence is CLEAN. I would go that route, since you still retain safety features and get a nice clean look with it.

I'm going to be purchasing one soon, so I'll post pics once I do.
