    I hit a large dip and my lip was pulled off then i ran it over. the splitter was cracked in half and the spoiler was fine. the splitter saved it. plus since its a clean crack you can even tell its a 2pc splitter.

    I saw that one too. I think they were going at quite fast speeds though were it would effect aerodynamics

    That was the topgear car in some 24 hour event. True the splitter may be huge but it does prove that its doing something.

    Their splitter was just a bit bigger than most of the ones seen on e30's.

    I think it actually causes even more damage to the lip because it cuts down your approach angle so your more likely to scrape something. The only flake in my IS lip paint is because i was coming down a driveway and my splitter caught it and flexed the lip causing the paint to flake. I still love the way it looks though.
