So, off the bat this isn't the typical "will this replica bumper I found on eBay fit like one" thread...
I have an '87 coupe with the diving boards that I have been building as a track/weekend cruiser. Nowhere near perfect, so I don't mind not going the perfect route with the car. Since I REALLY want to get rid of the diving boards, and I am looking to do some things like a center exit exhaust, custom diffuser, splitter up front, huge intercooler in the bumper area, etc. one of my thoughts was to consider looking at something like the dtm fiberwerkz bumpers and building my own crash bars and using quick release pins to mount them. Has anyone Sean anything like this been done? this might be more suited for the track section, but thought I would start here.
