At first I thought a dark car would look better with chrome trim, but it in fact it looks better with shadowline. My car is white so it looks decent with shadowline...

Andy, DIY shadowline can look just as good or better than OEM. I shadowline'd my old car and I dare you to tell me it doesn't look fucking good...

Get another chrome piece, good contrast.

I've seen many in person actually, probably a good 15 cars up close and personal. i've never liked the way it looks

haha.... i lost the same trim piece on my other E30 doing a 100+mph sprint down my local highway!
