Heated E36 Vaders in the E30

I have a set of E36 Vader seats that are getting reupholstered. The seats are heated with the elements in place, but I assume those elements might be bad given their age. Also, the wiring harness connections were cut, so I don't have the adapters. I was considering getting oem replacement elements and having those installed with the new upholstery.

What would I need to do to get these E36 factory heating elements to work in an E30? What type of wiring harness do I need to purchase or create? I do have a set of universal seat heaters/wiring harness that I could potentially harvest parts from. The upholsterer tells me these won't work with the Vaders because of the seat pleating and the potential to break the heating elements.
