I'm going to keep the tan for now. I'm picking up a 318is with good sport seats soon and I think once I trade them out I'll be happier with it.

There is no wear showing up even on the arm rests.

The secret is to be sure the panels are thoroughly cleaned so all the oil and dirt are removed. Allow to dry and spray away!

BTW this interior used to be natural.

That looks really good. If you didnt tell me you dyied it i would have never known.

Wow. I've used leather-world-tech and leatherique. I think I like the finish of leather world tech, their black is a nice matte tone, doesn't look dyed. Has held up great in 98% of the surface area, where I lay my arm with window down is rubbed through, and the part of the panel that hangs over and rubs when you close the door is almost inevitably going to get worn off I think. And piping on the bolster you rub when you get in the car.

I dyed mine a year ago with americolor dyes, the lady there said interior places sometimes use the dye for auto carpets so I went with it and I'm impressed.

    started a topic dying interior?

    dying interior?

Hey guys, I just recently picked up a 325 with tan interior. My last e36 had dyed interior and no one seemed to noticed that it was dyed besides myself. The finish seemed too glossy to be stock to me.

My question is who here has experience with dying interior and its results? I want to go black, but not if it comes out cheap or overly glossy and looks like paint.

I know I could always just replace the panels but my interior is pristine and I don't want to downgrade or spend a ton of money to replace pieces if I don't have to.

    Post pictures if you can!
