The 680 has an enamel that delivers smooth, silky chip-resistant color to the tach. It's also fun and flirty, sophisticated and sheer, which is a big plus when I glance down at my tach while passing police cruisers on the side of the highway. I highly recommend it. -
Just did mine using Levent's instructions. I love how these turn out!

i actually was scared cause i had never done this before and was doing it on my m3 cluster, but i just heated it up for a really quick second and then stuck a blade between to help it pop off. came out perfect... the rings were a REALLY REALLY tight fit, the temp and fuel gauge i had to trim just a hair cause they were not going on at all, but i got it to work perfectly now... just waiting to get the car out of shop and get it all installed... will post pics of all lit up when done...Leave a comment:

I just ran a razor blade around the seam, and it popped right off.Leave a comment:

People seem to be afraid of pop'ing that front "glass" (we all know it's plastic) cover off. It's really nothing to be afraid of - they aren't glued in like you think they are. It's more like they are lightly tacked into place with a few spots of very old, very dried out glue.
In 10 seconds with a small screwdriver it's off and in your hands. No loud noises of plastic separating or anything like that. Just a few clicks, and it's off. Just FYI.Leave a comment:

Pics of your M3 cluster w/ strip would be great, I'm really wishing L had strips specifically for the M3, but if you can modify it without it looking too bad, I'd order another one and give it a go...just saw this and thought would chime in, i have an E30 M3, my guage cluster reads to 8k. i got the alpina strip with intention of it being the same as all the rest, but the numbers are spread apart differently, it ended taking me a lil longer to lay the strip down cause i had to modify/cut the strips... just a lil precaution if you are doing this for the m3... other than that i have no regrets. i love the cluster much more! and i cant wait to get it in the car and all up and running! bump for great stuff!Leave a comment:

Does Guten still sell customized gauges like this or am I going to have to do my own? I need a new gauge and I would be easier if I could just buy it done up this way :PLeave a comment:

Great work Levent. Just wondering if you have anything like the overlays for an e39 cluster.Leave a comment:
