    Has anyone done this?

I have the back of one of the lights nearly fully cut off, edges need cleaning up.

There's another reflector thing behind the plastic of the lights (I think where the brake light is). Anyone know do you tint this also or just the outside part of the lights?

    Jest mozliwosc zrobienia jasniejszej wersji
There is an option to make a lighter version.

Wtedy maluje tylko przyciemniajacym sprejem do lamp (efekt wydaje mi sie lepszy)

For that I only use the lens tint spray (I think the end effect is nicer)

    oto zdjecia:

Witam tak jak prosiliście pisze po polsku.

Hi, just like you asked, I’m writing in Polish

Jesli pozwolicie to chetnie pogadam z wami na kilka tematów na waszym forum

If you want I’ll gladly chat with you all regarding several topics on your forum.

Co do przeróbki to potrzebne sa 4 sztuki lamp,z jednych zbijam klosz ,a z drugich wycinam go szlifierka.

What you need is 4 ligth assemblies. You need to break the lenses on one set and the cut out the lens from the other set using a grinder (I think – BeamR X edit)

The lens itself was painted with the black lacquer on the inside. I washed off the paint from the peaks (the paint remained in the dips), I buff it inside, than I put a light coat of lens darkening paint and than top it with the clear coat.

Odbłyśnik maluje po bokach na czarno.

I paint the sides of the mirrors black

Sklejam klosz z odbłyśnikiem klejem do szyb samochodowych.
I than glue the mirrors and lens using the automotive glass glue.

Pozdrawiam i życze powodzenia w przeróbkach

Cheers and good luck with your mods.

I was wondering if anyone had opened the lens to paint from the inside. I have done it on previous cars for the all red look. Thanks for the information.

Zastanawiałem się, czy ktoś otworzył obiektyw do malowania od wewnątrz. I zrobić to w poprzednich samochodów, wszystkie wyglądają na czerwono. Dzięki za informacje.

It looks good though. I have been tossing around a few ideas wondering how to go about this. This gives me some better direction, Thanks!

Edit: What is the purpose of splitting the lens anyway, couldn't you just mask it off?

Wait, I am lost. 4 tail lights were involved in the making of these? Haha :(

Is the red section nearest to the reverse light not painted with transparent black? It looks like it isn't but in one of the photos showing the backside it looks like the inside of tail light is all painted black transparent.

yeah, whoops. Looks like you`d have to buy two sets and break 2 apart, kinda sucks but they`re cheaper than real MHWs anyway.

I'm pretty sure these are RF welded together so you pretty much have to cut 'em that's why I think he uses 2 sets.

    translated from a friend

Hello I’m writing to you in Polish like you asked. If you let me, I’d be glad to speak at your forum about several topics. For the alteration, you need 4 lamps, from some I remove the lamp shade, and from the others I cut them using a machine. I paint the lamp shade itself from the inside with black paint, and I wash off the excess (the paint collects on the indentations), I polish the glass from the inside, the next one I lightly paint it so it’s darker, and then finish off with a gloss. I paint the edges of reflecting foil black. I glue the lamp shade and the reflecting foil with glue used for car windows.
    Good luck on your alterations
