DDM's output is not up to par.
Unless if it is your first HID kit, means you have not seen better ones. LOL.

I bought 3 55w 5k sets from DDM and they are all perfect. I'm not saying that DDM can't or doesn't mess up their bulb temperatures. But all the ones I have ordered are fine. Maybe my eyes are broken

Hopefully that was the right one.
yes. Mr. 325s connectors (for the US 9005/9006 bulbs) will plug right into the ballast, then the ballast plugs into the bulb. i ran my HIDs this exact way on my early model car.

Those are the same folks I bought from. Edit: Make sure they quote the right kit when they send you the confirmation. They originally confirmed a 35W kit, but corrected it very quickly when I e-mailed them about it.

I don't know what Mr. 325's connectors look like, but they do include a 9006 pigtail so that you can splice into the harness. It's exactly the same as you'd get from DDM, so any instructions for that would apply equally. Even the diameter of the grommet on my H1 bulbs was the same.

Also, I bought VVME bulbs for $20/pair shipped to fix my other DDM kits. If you're worried about ballast differences, you can always just swap out the bulbs.

(And frankly, the DDM ballasts may be superior if the specs on the web site are accurate. I have never had a DDM ballast go out on me, so I can't complain about *that*.)

I don't know that it's a downhill slope issue. I have a pair of DDM D2S bulbs that's a few years old that is WAY bluer than the ones I used in this comparison. They aren't just blue, they are into purple. IIRC, those were even physically marked 4500K. I think it's more of a complete absence of quality control on bulb color.

Now, to be fair, I did just realize that I have actually seen a set of DDM 4500K bulbs that wasn't stupid blue. I installed a set in my sister's WRX a couple years ago, and they were fine. So, basically, I have a 1/5 success rate with them. Still pretty damned wretched.

As for the quality of the VVME kit, well, basically it seems about the same as the DDM stuff. Install is exactly the same.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too... DDM seemed like a good company at the start, but it's been slowly going downhill and I've heard a lot of negatives lately.

seems like DDM has been on a downhill slope, and i have no reason to think that the guys in here are bullshitting, so better safe (go with VVME) than sorry.

The camera shots are pretty close to dead on. The DDMs are fucking blue.

Thx for the pics, they look good but I'm hesitant to order because I don't want blue at all
