    License Plate light replacement/wiring

The PO finding rust around the license plate lights, cut all the rust and filled in the holes (with metal I hope), leaving me with no license plate lights and an extra light in the overhead Christmas tree (check panel).

My cunning plan is to use on of those. Yes I am aware its life expectancy is equally related to their price ...

I was gonna connect it to one part of the twin wiring and have an actual license plate connect to the other part and light the inside of the trunk and hope there would be enough load on the circuit to not trigger the check panel. But is seems I did not grab the license plate light from my parts car.

Can I match the four wires (there are two lights) respecting polarity/colors? Or do I need to connect to one set and use the other set to solder in a resistor to add load to the circuit?

I am open to other suggestion also!
