Hella's have plastic reflectors for the lowbeams that get burnt more easily than the bosch metal reflectors.

My is has hellas that are burnt to shit and light as much as the fogs. My 316i edition had bosch smileys, they were awesome.

i would say that the Bosch lights are better...they are almost identical except Bosch uses a metal reflector, and Hella uses a plastic reflector.

The bosch ones proved very durable. :) Didnt even scratch, just pushed it back and down, hehe.

mmmm, i'm leaning toward bosch. he has two sets of both (i think - i can't keep track) but i think I remember him saying that he was relieved that they didn't break, and he likes his bosch's more than the hellas. if you need to know for sure PM him - E30 Groupie. I just try not to rear-end people. haha.

hellas are alot easier for me to smoke, but i think the bosch lights look better smoked. the glass seems to be a bit more clear looking.

Depos are the worst. Some people don't have issues with them, many do. I have 2 sets of bosch amd 1 of hella smilys, and a couple sets of depo's crap. Depos actually seemed decent, just cheap housings.
