Pioneer ke-83zbm problems. Need help.

Hello. I have a Pioneer BMW radio w/ 6cd changer in the trunk.

I am trying to use the ipod cassette adapter to listen to my ipod. When my ipod cassette adapter is inserted, it just goes into like a skip mode, then will stop, then skip, then stop, just making a whining noise.

I thought it was just the adapter, but it does the same thing with a normal cassette.

Help is appreciated.
