Fuhhhhhh.. I feel like a dummas.
I started effin with the amp settings on the amp itself(not knowing wth im adjusting btw) But i guess everything was just turn too low? It sounds awesome now! Tomorrow i'll spend the morning cleaning the install up. The stupid bass control unit still isn't powering up(led remains off) but it responds to me adjusting it so eff it.

Hey luke (or anyone else).. any recommendations on the following settings?

On the Head unit.. the HPF?
    On the AMP:

    Level 6v-.2v
    Subsonic Filter 15hz - 50hz
    Bass boost 0db-9db
    LP crossover 12/24db 30-120hz

Thanks guys. I should have pics of finished install tomorrow.

Alright.. I guess we're getting somewhere. On notes with bass, sub can VERY faintly be heard and felt. Dont know if it's something I did or just didn't notice. I now have it out of the box for troubleshooting.

I've rechecked receiver settings.. nothing caught my eye. The LED on the "bass control" still wont light up. Almost as if sub isn't getting enough power? My connections to and from amp seem ok. I took a couple pics.. I'm starting to think defective amp?

Amp is mono: bridging is not possible, it is one channel.

The 4 terminals are for looks only, which neg adn which pos aren't important.

The markings on the back of the deck are kind of odd...pic of connections? If you get a thump, you should be live. Plug an MP3 player into the amp if you have to.

another thing I noticed is if I switch the low pass crossover switch from 12db to 24 db I can hear a "thump" but no sound.

I am not briging the AMP btw. Everythings set for 4ohms.

Im leaving for a bit but appriciate any other suggestions! Wish I had anouther amp to test.

Hm... thats how the amp manual wires the schematic for a 4ohm sub. I will try that though.

Checked settings. I found Sub level- turned it to 10, nothing.
Also found subwoofer system 1 and system 2. selected system 1.
There was also Subwoofer on/off. Checked on. Still nothing.

Find it weird how my amp "bass control" will not power on. LED remains off.

Alright.. I got everything wraped up however the sup wont fire. Im not sure if it was to do with the HU settings or the AMP. The amp itself turns on (power led green) however I get nothing from the sub. I did notice I have a factory amp while the tear down..anything to do with it? My 4 speakers play just no sub. I did also notice the variable knob adjustment has a "power" led which remains off. Checked my connections from sub-amp = ok. I wired stripes to negative... soilids to +. I also wired from my amp on the 1st positive terminal, skipped the 2nd positive terminal and hooked up to 1st negative terminal)from left to right) ..any help? It has to be something retarded.

What carpet did you use & how does it match up with the stock grey trunk material?

I'm excited to get mine, but won't be installing it until I can keep thieving scum away.
