Hey guys, really not a car audio guru but I am a music guru. I want a nice stereo setup for my convertible without getting into amps and subs and whatnot, just want a nice headunit and 4 nice speakers, nothing huge, just an upgrade from stock sound. I was looking at the Clarion headunit that is often recommended here, about 210-215 on Ebay, 04 model. As fat as speakers, I think the car uses 5-1/4, are infiniti speakers decent. I have really no budget but do not want the absolute best and newest. I think I will need to rewire because as I change songs on my old alpine deck it makes a weird hissing/cutting sound? Is it the unit? Is rewiring a difficult job, I really do not want to bring it anywhere, I am good at following directions and could do it if I got some hints. Thanks alot guys!!!
