Has anyone converted their defunct. service indicator lights to a progressive shift indicator light like the e46 M3's have? (theirs is on the tach) I will be looking into doing this over one of my school breaks.
My initial thought was to have the green LED's illuminate starting at 5.8k and go up every 200 RPM.
It looks like some others have had this idea before from searching around the web.
