Does the kit include Plexi, lights, and fans? Am I fabbing mounts for the lights and fans or is it all designed into the rack? Also, can I get grey carpet so I dont have to spray bomb my trunk black? thx

Yes yes and yes...all premounted, and holes drilled to run wires through, but the vinyl covers them so you only cut the ones you want to use.

Fans and lights are easily replaceable should they fail, too....plus, there is a prewired relay for the fans.

However, the price did creep up. The rack is $175 plus shipping. My parts cost was just too high, plexi has skyrocketed, and I just don't like the 1/8" stuff, too flexible.

So yeah, roughly $200 and your trunk can look like a million bucks. I am going to be doing one in grey with a stock floor in the next day or three. I bet it photographs better too!

BTW, am hoping to be able to ship these for about $150, trunk carpet "kit" being a template and enough carpet to do the floor should be about $50...so if you wanted all black trunk you would need to spray all your existing panels with black vinyl paint, grab a 1/2 sheet of 1/4" masonite or MDF and a can of spray glue.

So, lets take a second and figure this out. We have $200ish for the box, $200ish for trunk kit, a couple cans of paint and glue, a $140 5 channel amp and a $34 woofer...world class sound AND looks for well under $750.

No local shop can even come close to that price. I bet they would flip if they saw it, even more if they heard it!

I want a rack and floor for an early model, I already have your 10" sub box installed. Do you think a Kappa 5ch amp and 2 PPI crossovers will fit inside?

That would be just damn sexy! You would have to keep your trunk flawlessly clean just to show that beast off!

The space inside is 29" wide X 12" X 3" depth, the window is roughly 28" x 10" so yeah, even if you have those giant PPI crossovers, that should fit.

Tell you what, just to seee that shit on R3V I will do it now. I do have an early body trunk to model from already here. I will bump that up in production, soon as you hit my paypal, that will be the very next thing I get ready.

I really want to see it, so if you are short on cash, get me a deposit, we can figure it out. Do a super tidy job and get some top-notch photos. People just freak when they see the prototype, especially at night.

Yes it is! Well, this prototype turns out to be a failure, but yours will look virtually identical.

The thing is DAMN sexy, and thanks again for fronting the development monies...no one else gets that good a deal!

Good news and bad news. The good news is we have all the logistics figured out, this product is ready to build.

The bad news is the price is going to go up. Still a great deal, but now these will be $175 PLUS shipping. Sorry for the increase, but you guys know I do the best pricing I can.

I will have 10 of these available, but am only building them in groups of 4. Let me know what color you want, this looks just amazing. Final pics coming soon!
