front speakers are an authentic pain in the ass to access.
maybe the second time is easier.

i broke my dashboard a little bit more.
    :(

But the new stereo and speakers are in, and everything works.

    :)

Perfect, I have the Kenwood plug.
So just match cables, red to red, blue to blue etc?

    Thanks again.

    School me RE: Car Stereo

Just picked up a new stereo.

My car came with an after market stereo (Panasonic CQ-C1120U), the removal of this was quite easy.

Given than my new radio is a Kenwood KDC-248U I'm wondering if the wiring is the same, and I can just plug the existing wire plug thing. Or if I do have to re arrange the wires.

Another question I have is, how many speakers do our cars have? I have a Cabrio so mine might be different than hard tops. Still I'm curious about what you guys have.

Also, how many people here purchased amplifiers? I'm on the fence about whether to buy one or not.

I'm also considering picking up a pair of new speakers. This is why I'm wondering how many if my car has any more speakers, other than the two on the rear side panels.

    :)

    thanks!
