Brake light warning light problem

So it did this strait from the factory? I never noticed that on my 318i when I had it. Weird...

Might not have had it? M10 or M44, doesn't one of them not have a check panel? Either way, now you have a proper working system!

No, what he means is, it is supposed to work the way it's working. Light comes on when you start the car, then goes off when you either hit the brake or hit the check button. All e30s are like this.

Yeah the brake lights are working perfectly.
How ever the light in the gauge cluster and check panel come on saying there is a problem.
They turn off with a tap of the brakes.

I have searched and found a few things about this problem.
My brake lights work properly but the warning light still comes on every time I start the car.
Seams like it could be the brake light switch at the pedal, the bulbs, a contact problem in the bulb housings, or a problem in the brake light sensor box that I believe in located some where in the left drivers rear fender.
I out a new switch in the brake pedal, replaced the bulbs with the correct new bulbs, and cleaned the contacts. The light still comes on.
I can turn the warning light off after starting the car by tapping the brake pedal ones. Then it stays off while a drive. Of cores I can also turn the warning light off by hitting the button on the check panel.
Any suggestions? I know this has been covered a few times, but I just cant seam to find anything that addresses what is happening in my car specifically.
