Wanting to put in a DVD/Nav unit in without having to move the heater/ac controls and thought about looking for a 1.5 din head unit. This would only require moving the switches above where the current unit sits. Has anyone tried this or know of someone who has? If so, post some pics. I just think it would be a lot easier and look a lot cleaner doing it this way. I think the 2 din screen kind of distract the looks of the e30 and they look out of place. So far, it seems like the units designed for Chryslers and Jeeps might work. It looks like I have about 3 1/2 inches of height to work with and about 7 1/2 inches in width. Don't want to move or loose my obc. Also if anyone knows of any 1.5 din head units with dvd/gps/bluetooth, that info would be greatly appreciated.:idea:
